The oldest pub in New Zealand, The Moutere Inn, a farmers market on a Saturday morning and a great little gallery and produce shop in the old Post Office. Potters and artists nearby too. The old village of Sarau ticks along quietly and is well worth a visit to enjoy its peace and quiet.

Cycle for kilometres on well made paths and quiet back roads. Electric or unassisted bikes are available and you can go all the way to Kaiteriteri or Nelson on the path.
